DESCRIPTION

As a food Preservatives, it is listed as E number 282 in the Codex Alimentarius. Calcium Propionate is used as a preservative in a wide variety of products, including but not limited to bread, other baked goods, processed meat, whey, and other dairy products. In agriculture, it is used, amongst other things, to prevent milk fever in cows and as a feed supplement Propionates prevent microbes from producing the energy they need, like benzoates do. Usable range and use limited Dough wet products : 0.25g/kg Cheese: 0.38g/kg Bread, western pastry, vinegar, bean product, cake, soy sauce : 1.0g/kg

PACKAGING It can be purchased in 25 kgs kraft bag. Special packing can be arranged.

RECOMMENDED STORAGE

In cool, dry and well-ventilated place, moisture-proof, but not in the sun, avoid storing with toxic and harmful substance. For stored products beyond 1 year, consult chemsino industry for recommendation of use.

Calcium Propionate although is not harmful, contact with skin and eyes should be avoided and necessary personal protective equipment and clothing should be worn, such as chemical gloves, gas mask, eye goggles and apron. Keep away from heat and any source of ignition.
